youngfilms, founded in 2004 by Henning Windelband, develops and produces TV and cinema formats as well as radio plays for children and young people.
youngfilms initially produced 52 episodes of the animated book story ‘Lea & Marie‘ for Sesame Street. This was followed by 52 episodes of the successful animated TV-series ‘Conni‘ for preschool children, which was exported in 127 countries. The accompanying audio plays and music CDs were developed and produced with great love and commitment.
Our animated feature CONNI AND THE CAT won the Gilde Movie Award for the Best German Childrens Movie 2020, youngfilms is pursuing numerous other projects, including the live-action sci-fi series THE MARS PROJECT based on the novels of bestselling author Andreas Eschbach and the live-action cinema project ANNA AND THE BELL. Also in development are serial formats like the live-action series THE FINSTERSTEINS based on the novels of Kai Lüftner and the animated series JOHNNY SINCLAIR based on Sabine Städing’s novels about a young ghost hunter.

The 2nd season of the famous TV-series “Conni”celebrates it’s premiere at the Hamburg Filmfest with a big Conni-Kids-Party.
Conni was nominated for the Jupiter Award as Best TV-Series.
In summer 2012, “Conni” has it’s very first TV release at KiKa and ZDF.
